Should You Interview Your Agent? Don't Worry We Already Did!

Here are some of the questions you might have for our team—good news, we’ve already done the interview for you! Check out our answers below.

Experience & Background

How long have you been in real estate, and what markets do you specialize in?

We’ve been in real estate since 2020, specializing in first-time homebuyers, veterans, sellers, land, and investment properties. With a background in psychology, I bring strong negotiation skills to every deal, ensuring my clients get the best possible outcome.
Beyond real estate, I’m passionate about DIY (done the right way!) and have gained hands-on experience in home construction. This knowledge gives me a keen eye for investment properties, helping clients identify smart opportunities and avoid costly pitfalls.

How many transactions have you closed in the past year?

Since 3/1/2024 to 3/1/2025 I have sold 31 homes. Total Homes sold are 79 homes for a total of 21M in Volume.

What’s your experience working with buyers vs. sellers? Do you prefer one over the other?

I genuinely love working with both buyers and sellers and don’t favor one over the other. I started my career as a buyer’s agent specialist, helping clients navigate the home-buying process with confidence. As the market shifted, I took on more listings, and in 2022, I became a listing specialist, focusing primarily on selling homes.
This experience allowed me to master both sides of the transaction, giving me the insight to guide buyers and sellers through changing market conditions. Every client is unique, and I truly enjoy the journey of helping people achieve their real estate goals.

Have you worked on a real estate team before? If so, what did you like/dislike about it?

Yes, I have! I am a second generation realtor. Meaning my mom was a realtor when I grew up. I learned a lot from her as she use to drag me around to showings and always talking on the phone. Before I got my license my husband and I decided to buy our first home.  My mom found an amazing realtor to help us. When we were out looking at homes my husband kept asking questions and I would answer them. Our agent finally asked, "Are you a Realtor?" I laughed and said, "No, I just grew up listening to my mom!" she encouraged me to get my license, so I did (despite my mom telling me for years to get it). She let me join her team and I learned many valuable lessons from a the team. Eventually I felt confident enough to go off on my own towards the end of 2021 and the rest is history!

Work Ethic & Motivation

What drives you in this business? Why did you choose real estate?

When we bought our first home, I quickly realized I had a natural knack for the home-buying process—I knew more than I thought! Later, when we finished our basement, I gained hands-on experience with tools and construction, deepening my understanding of homes. That’s when I decided to get my real estate license.
Most agents close 6-10 homes a year, but in my first six months, I closed 24. That’s when I knew—I LOVE helping people, and I’m great at it. Coming from a hospitality background, exceptional customer service is second nature to me. I’m always striving to learn, grow, and improve to serve my clients better.
Real estate isn’t just a job for me—it’s my passion and lifelong career. I’m dedicated to helping people find great homes that build wealth and secure their future.

How do you handle rejection and tough negotiations?

Handling rejection and tough negotiations in real estate requires a strong mindset, strategic approach, and emotional intelligence. I always remind myself that every transaction has two sides, and the goal is to create a win-win outcome. When both parties feel they’ve reached a fair agreement, the process is smoother, more cooperative, and leads to a successful closing.
Here’s how I approach negotiations:
I detach emotionally – I stay focused on the facts and don’t take things personally.
I stay solution-focused – Instead of getting stuck on obstacles, I look for creative ways to meet both parties' needs.
I know my numbers – I come prepared with market data to strengthen my position and build confidence.
I also understand that rejection is simply redirection—not every deal will work out, and that’s okay. What matters is handling every situation professionally, learning from each experience, and moving forward with confidence.

Describe a time you went above and beyond for a client.

I always strive to go above and beyond for my clients, whether it’s helping them move, finding creative solutions, or simply offering support during a difficult time.
One experience that stands out was when I worked with clients who had just lost a loved one and were preparing to sell their family home. The house was still full of belongings, and they had rented a giant dumpster, planning to throw everything away. I stopped them and brought in an auction company instead. In the end, they made $12,000 from the items—saving them time, effort, and giving them an unexpected financial boost.
Another time, I advised a client not to sell. After reviewing their situation, I realized that selling would actually put them in a worse financial position. Instead, I guided them through keeping their home, and to this day, they still thank me for helping them make the right decision.
One of the most meaningful moments in my career was helping a client who had raised their entire family in their home but was ready for a fresh start after losing their husband. The house held decades of memories, so as a gift, I had a drone shot of their home taken, giving them a lasting keepsake of the place that meant so much.
Real estate isn’t just about transactions—it’s about people, memories, and life-changing moments. That’s why I do what I do.
