Immune Boost Chicken Soup (in crockpot)

I made this soup a few weeks ago on my Insta story. It came out amazing and now I want to share it with you! I enjoy this soup when I feel under the weather with a sore throat, or when it is a cold day and I want something warm in my belly! It great for boosting your immune system helps with inflammation and soothes your throat.

Ingredients:

1.5-2 inches of Ginger

3 garlic cloves

1 red bell pepper

1 stock of celery

1 small red onion

2 cup of baby carrots

4-6 red potatoes

5 Organic Chicken Drum Sticks

1 box of organic chicken bone broth (or just regular chicken broth)

1-2 bay leaf(s)

1 teaspoon of Turmeric

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Salt and pepper to taste (pepper is needed for the absorption of turmeric)

Instructions:

  1. Using a food processor or blender, blend the garlic, 1/2 or the red onion, ginger, and bell pepper into a paste (add a little chicken broth if needed to help blend). Set aside.
  2. In the crockpot, add chicken first, then vegetables, chicken broth, seasonings, bay leaf, and the blended paste.
  3. Cook on high for 4-6 hours! Then Serve!

This also tastes amazing the next day!

P.S if you do not have a food processor or blender, chop up garlic, ginger, onion, and bell pepper very small.
