Immune Boost Chicken Soup (in crockpot)
/I made this soup a few weeks ago on my Insta story. It came out amazing and now I want to share it with you! I enjoy this soup when I feel under the weather with a sore throat, or when it is a cold day and I want something warm in my belly! It great for boosting your immune system helps with inflammation and soothes your throat.
Ingredients:
1.5-2 inches of Ginger
3 garlic cloves
1 red bell pepper
1 stock of celery
1 small red onion
2 cup of baby carrots
4-6 red potatoes
5 Organic Chicken Drum Sticks
1 box of organic chicken bone broth (or just regular chicken broth)
1-2 bay leaf(s)
1 teaspoon of Turmeric
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste (pepper is needed for the absorption of turmeric)
Instructions:
- Using a food processor or blender, blend the garlic, 1/2 or the red onion, ginger, and bell pepper into a paste (add a little chicken broth if needed to help blend). Set aside.
- In the crockpot, add chicken first, then vegetables, chicken broth, seasonings, bay leaf, and the blended paste.
- Cook on high for 4-6 hours! Then Serve!
This also tastes amazing the next day!
P.S if you do not have a food processor or blender, chop up garlic, ginger, onion, and bell pepper very small.
